Can the patient be accompanied in the vehicle?
Yes, up to one person per patient. An adult must accompany patients under 18 years of age.
Are transportation services covered by health insurances?
Most commercial/private insurances, Government Health Plan and Medicare Advantage plans cover medical transportation services. Once we receive the referral, we will assess if your health insurance covers transportation services.
What happens if the health plan does not cover transportation or I do not have a health plan?
We can offer a reasonable fee for you to avoid missing your medical appointment.
Can you provide transportation for patients with wheelchairs?
Yes, our transportation units are equipped and in optimum conditions to transport wheelchair patients. If the patient does not want to take his or her own wheelchair, Advanced Transportation can temporary provide one.
I live in Aguadilla, and my appointment is in San Juan?
For Advanced Transportation distance is not a limitation. We provide transportation throughout Puerto Rico.
