  • Central intravenous catheter Open or Close

    Is an intravenous catheter or flexible narrow tube that is inserted into a large vein, commonly the veins near the heart. On many occasions, this kind of catheter is used to administer parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy or other prolonged intravenous therapies.

  • Chemotherapy Open or Close

    Chemotherapy is prescribed for the treatment of different kinds of cancer and is commonly administered intravenously. The hematologist-oncologist (doctor who specializes in cancer and blood disease) is the doctor who determines which chemotherapy regime  the patient needs and whether the patient may receive it in the comfort of his or her home.

  • Enteral nutrition Open or Close

    Enteral nutrition therapy is the medical term for feeding a patient through a tube or catheter inserted in the stomach or the small intestine. With the availability of enteral feeding pumps, a wide range of available enteral feeding formulas, and enteral supplements,  allowd us to provide nutrition for patients in the comfort of their home. While the patient receives enteral nutrition therapy with Advanced Infusion, the therapy is monitored for compliance by our nutritional committee composed of nutritionists, pharmacists, and nurses.

    The gastrointestinal system or GI tract consists of the mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach and intestines, where nutrients are absorbed by the body. Advanced specializes in the administration of food or nutrients by catheter or tube inserted in the stomach or small intestine.

  • Intravenous antibiotics Open or Close

    Intravenous antibiotic therapy or IV antibiotic therapy is a treatment that patients may receive in the comfort of their home without the need for hospitalization. This commonly is done when the patient is resistant, does not tolerate or does not comply with the administration of oral medication to treat the infection. Skin, bone, respiratory tract, and urinary tract infections are some of the infections that may be treated in the home with IV antibiotics.     Pain management is the relief from or decrease of pain to a level of tolerance that is acceptable to the patient. In Advanced Infusion and Advanced Hospice we provide pain management therapy to patients with chronic pain and to terminally ill patients that may require palliative (symptom and pain free) care.

  • Parenteral nutrition Open or Close

    Parenteral nutrition is the administration of fluids containing nutrients (proteins, fats, sugar and other essential nutrients) through a catheter o intravenous line inserted in a large vein. This therapy is to provide daily nutritional support to patients with a poor or non functional digestive system that may require to be nourish for a long period of time – more than 7 days.  Also, maybe indicated to patients who are able to obtaining the daily nutritional requirements orally or by enteral feeding. The components of parenteral nutrition include: fluids, dextrose, amino acids, lipids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, electrolytes, and on some occasions, medication.

  • Skin wound Open or Close

    This is a lesion that is produced on the body, which may be produced for many reasons, although generally due to blows or skin tears.

  • Skin Wounds and Ulcers Open or Close

    Consists of a cut, rupture or open skin where it can be deep or superficial.
